Cloud like unlevelness of the grain side:
Reason
Over basification in chrome tanning, excessive quantity of strong neutralizing agents, inadequate mining of the dye float, uneven deposition of retanning agents. In vegetable tanned inadequate removal of unfixed tanning agents.
Solution
Avoid the mentioned causes, use dye leveler as RESOMOL 2408
Light Stains:
Reason
Sections not dyed because of lime blasts or resisting caused by soiling with machine oil.
Solution
Careful in previous process Use SINTERAL DH-280 to avoid this type of problems.
Empty pale dyeing
Reason
Excessive deposition of anionic retanning agents and auxiliaries on the grain surface, excessive amount of masking agents
Solution
Reduce the amounts used and pH value should be used good basifying agent as RESYNTAN FF

Tanning Tech to drive recovery

The Italian tannery and footwear machinery manufacturers association, Assomac, have announced that the next edition of the machinery and chemical technology show, Tanning Tech, will take place October 12-14 in Bologna alongside the autumn/winter edition of Lineapelle. Following a recession hit edition in 2009 the worlds most important tanning machinery exhibition aims to continue to ‘drive’ a recovery in the sector through innovation.

The organisers say that this year will see more innovation, integration and design from machinery makers as they aim to improve the automation of leather making. As well as tannery machinery, Tanning Tech also hosts a number of leather chemical makers, particularly from Italy. It is anticipated that exhibitors at this year’s event will opt for larger stands and will return to exhibiting more equipment, accessories and fashion leathers using new chemical technologies.

Running alongside Tanning Tech will be Simac, the footwear and leathergoods machinery show, which is also organised by Assomac. All three fairs take place at the Bologna Fiera.

Use of dyestuff combination with different absorption behavior due of unstable fatliquor mixture inadequate neutralization
Solution
Always use good quality dyes and well emulsified fatliquor like RESOCUIR LM, INGRASSANTE UP 152 and INGRASSANTE M 65
Cloudy dyeing
Reason
Insufficient fixation and thus uneven migration of the dye into the inner zone

Solution
Sure about exact fixation of dye bath and should use 0.1 % of RESYNTAN ZO for better results
Bleeding of the dye
Excessively wetting leathers
Always use good quality dyes and fatliquor which does not migrate after fixation like INGRASSANTE M 65 and RESOCUIR LM
